Community Astronomy

Chances to view the sky through a telescope are aplenty in our little island nation – if you know where to look.

Most of the following community astronomy groups offer regular – often weekly – free stargazing sessions for the public. Check out their twitters and blogs for the next session!
Sidewalk Astronomy

Gary gives free monthly talks at Toa Payoh library, and also regularly sets up his telescope at Toa Payoh central for public viewing.

Marine Parade
Astronomical Society

MPastro does free sidewalk astronomy, monthly observation sessions, school talks and various other enrichment activities.

The Galaxy CC Observatory
Astronomy Club

Previously the Admiralty CC, Galaxy conducts free weekly stargazing sessions at the Woodlands Galaxy CC observatory.

Astronomy Forum

Singastro is a great place to swap tips about telescopes, astronomical events and more. Members also organize overseas stargazing trips!

Science Centre
Observatory Sessions

The SCOBbers conduct free weekly Friday night sessions at the Science Centre observatory, which houses one of Singapore’s largest telescopes.

Astronomy Club

TASOS conducts stargazing and talks at Science Centre, as well as overseas trips.  They also aid SCS during major astronomical events.
