We learnt about the Lecture from the Friday newspaper and regret that all seats are taken up. Since the next available Lecture
is on Thursday and during office hours (4 to 5.30pm) and quite a distance from town, my friends and I have made arrangement to take time off for Thursday as travelling time from our places of work is around an hour’s driving time if there is no traffic jam on the expressways.

Hence three of us are glad we can obtain our requests for time off on Thursday and will like to register ourselves for this interesting and insightful Lecture by Lord Martin Rees. Our names are:

Hi, I’m a secondary 3 student in singapore and am very interested in astronomy, esp astrophysics. The topic about “Our universe, and the role of life in it” really sparks my interest. I was hoping to attend the lecture at NUS but unfortunately I found that it was fully booked. I really wish to attend this lecture as I have had astrophysics in mind for a long time. I want to study astrophysics in university and thus hope that I’ll get an insight of the subject. I will really appreciate your reply. Thank you.
